Most people come to Göreme - Cappadocia
in one of the following ways:

1. By plane from Istanbul to Kayseri, then by bus from Kayseri to Göreme (100 km).

After reaching Istanbul you can fly to Kayseri and then take a bus to Göreme. If you'd like to use Turkish Airlines for coming to Kayseri, departure times of the planes are listed below:

2. Directly with night-bus from Istanbul to Göreme

There are 4 bus companies that you can choose from, Nevsehir, Metro, Aksaray and Kent. All of them have bus services to Göreme. (It takes about 11 hours from Istanbul to Göreme.)

At Nevşehir Bus Station you will find service buses to Avanos, Göreme, Ürgüp, Uçhisar and elsewhere in Cappadocia. When buying your tickets or making reservations for bus services, do not forget to mention the specific place to which you wish to go.

If you plan to go to Avanos, Göreme, Ürgüp or Uçhisar, you will not need to pay for the service from Nevşehir Bus Station to those places.

Direct bus journeys to Göreme or Nevşehir can be made from most cities and tourist centers in Turkey. The bus companies named above, and others, provide these services. You will need to make inquiries at the bus station from which you wish to travel. Some useful phone numbers follow:
